That was certainly an unexpected detour. One I hope I won't have to venture again, but I've finally made my return from the mission on the moon.
I didn't give a proper introduction during my previous visit, but now seems to be a great time for such things. (She smiles a bit.) I am Princess Celestia of Equestria. It is a great pleasure to meet everypony else here. It seems as tho-

The Royal sisters suddenly disappear, leaving everyone in a panic trying to find out what happened to them. With both sisters gone, the sun is left hanging where it is in the sky. People start to panic as they are unable to find them. The Royal guard goes from city to city with a large number of search parties trying to find the missing royalty they were supposed to guard. People quickly realize that whatever happened to them, they are no longer tending to the Sun and Moon. Panic turns to rioting as the problem sinks in amongst the populace, temperatures rise, crops wither away, Equestria slowly starts to turn into a desert as the perpetual sun withers away the land.
(Back to reality)
(You can see panic written all over Twilight's face, this is alot of bad news all at once for her. She starts stroking her mane with her hooves, which just makes it messier.)
No... this is bad. This is REALLY bad. You can't both be here, that means nopony is taking care of Equestria and the sun is stuck where it is now! We might as well just call it the desert formerly known as Equestria! Are we really trapped in... wherever this place is? Luceti? What will happen to my friends? Applejack's orchard will die with a perpetual sun, and nopony can live in the kind of heat that would result in. Who will take care of Spike? He's still just a baby dragon!
(By now, Twilight's hair is a complete mess. She gets up and starts pacing, desperately trying to wrap her mind around what she just learned.)

Date: 2012-07-16 06:25 pm (UTC)Even we do not understand it in its entirety, but the magic that was used to bring ourselves and the other villagers to Luceti must indeed be powerful. From our understanding, the world upon which we now stand is separated completely from our own. Meaning that while much time may be passing here, when we are returned to Equestria, we will find it precisely as it was when we were taken away.
Because of this, Rainbow Dash was already present in Luceti when... [she glances between the other two ponies, then exhales.] when I arrived. I believe you will find your friends Pinkie Pie and Applejack also are still residing within the barrier.

(It's not the best of situations, but hey, that's how it is. Still, she's just going to try and brighten things up a little.)

(And cumbersome. She doesn't like them, but they're there and she even shows them to Twilight.)
You would do best if you don't try to remove them. They're...a part of you now.

[As it sinks in, you can see the horror settle in on her face as she comes to her next realization, she hears what Luna says, looks at the extra pair of wings on Celestia's back, and then abruptly buries her head in her hooves on the table and begins sobbing uncontrollably, muttering incoherently.] How... Why... What...? I just... no sense at all! [..and then goes back to sobbing. Apparently seeing the change on Celestia cemented the fact that Twilight's whole world has been turned upside down.]
